The BS6 transition era is seeing many bikes getting discontinued as the products are not ready to meet the deadline. Also, the higher costs involved in updating the engine to BS6 isn’t feasible for the manufacturer to update the bike.

One of the bikes affected in this transition is the Kawasaki Ninja 400. The bike has been discontinued in India. Reason being the high cost involved for BS6 update which will make its price closer to Ninja 650.

The bike will be discontinued for at least 2 years. There is very limited stock available with dealerships. Dealers are clearing the stock of Ninja 400 with heavy discounts, close to Rs. 90,000/-.

The bike is powered by a 399cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 49 PS of power and 38 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
