After showcasing the Mojo in 2010, Mahindra hasn’t launched this sports motorcycle yet. Every few months, a rumor of the Mojo’s launch comes along but there are no signs of when this bike will hit showrooms. When the Mojo was first unveiled, the performance motorcycle segment had very few options. Fast forward 2013 and there are a bunch of performance machines available, offering somewhat similar output as the Mojo. The reason for the delay of the Mojo can be attributed to the poor performance of the Stallio.

Mahindra has now confirmed its plans to launch the Mojo in India. The company is already testing the 300cc engine extensively to make sure the vehicle is thoroughly reliable prior to launching it in the market. The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 300cc, single-cylinder motor which produces 26 HP of peak power output at 8500 RPM and 24 Nm of peak torque output at 7000 RPM. This 4-valve engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with the Mojo weighing just 160 kgs. The Mojo gets upside down forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear.

Mahindra will launch the Mojo by August 2013, pricing it around Rs. 1.5 lakhs. This motorcycle will be offered with the best of Mahindra technology (possibly micro-hybrid system), for which the company has set up an R&D centre. Going by the features offered on the Centuro, one can expect the Mojo to be offered with many segment first features. The Mojo gets 320 mm discs at the front and 220 mm discs at the rear. The tyres are 100 and 150 section at the front and rear respectively. Even before the launch, the Mojo has already created quite a stir.
