Mahindra KUV100 NXT Launch
The Mahindra KUV100 NXT is priced from Rs. 4.39-7.33 lakhs

The entry-level offering from the Mahindra’s stable, the KUV100 gets a facelift this time and has been christened KUV100 NXT. Mahindra has priced the KUV100 NXT from Rs. 4.39-7.33 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). A lot has changed in the vehicle and here’s all you need to know about the new Mahindra KUV100 NXT.

At the front, you get a new grille (not an air-intake) with claw-like chrome inserts, a redesigned bumper with scuff plate and headlamps with twin-pod elements. The chiselled bonnet adds some muscle to the front fascia. At the sides, you will notice the new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, but what has also got a tweak is the black cladding. They have been thickened to give the KUV100 NXT a sportier SUV stance. The roof-mounted spoiler and the clear lens tail-lights are sure to catch your attention.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT gets an all-black dashboard, the layout though is similar to the pre-facelifted car. You now get a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (on the top variant) with navigation and the climate control buttons have been minimised from 3 to 1. The gear lever has been placed on the centre console to provide legroom to the person sitting in the middle. Other features on offer are electrically adjustable ORVMs, front door puddle lamps, steering mounted audio controls, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear armrest, mood lighting, rear parking sensors, drive modes, new multi-information display and a cooled glovebox.

The KUV100 NXT continues with the same 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. However, Mahindra has tuned the engines for better fuel economy and NVH levels inside the cabin. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 82 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre diesel churns out 77 HP of power and 190 Nm of torque. Both the mills come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The strengthened engine mounts reduce the engine vibrations and noise creeping into the cabin. The engines also get a revised air-filter design.

The compact SUV gets a revised suspension setup with longer travel to improve the ride-quality – 150 mm at the front and 200 mm at the rear. The KUV100 NXT also gets an improved approach and departure angles (20 degrees and 29 degrees respectively). The car uses disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

The car is available in a total of 10 variants, 6 single-tone and 3 dual-tone exterior colour options.
