Mahindra Thar Deep Forest

Mahindra Thar Deep Forest colour option introduced, seen on the Scorpio N before

Mahindra Thar has got a new Deep Forest colour option, which is a dark green shade. It is the same colour which is also available on the Scorpio N and the recently launched XUV 3XO. This colour suits the off-road character of the Thar, making it look more desirable.

Mahindra has constantly updated the colour options of the Thar since its launch in 2020. At the time of the launch, the Mahindra Thar was available in six colour options – Red Rage, Mystic Copper, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Rocky Beige and Aquamarine.

Now, the Thar is available in Red Rage, Deep Grey, Stealth Black, Everest White, Deep Forest and Desert Fury. There are no other feature updates or any mechanical changes with this update.

Engine options remain unchanged. The Mahindra Thar is offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine producing 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm of torque. It also comes with a 2.2-lire mHawk diesel engine producing 130 BHP and 300 Nm. Both the engines come with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission options. The RWD variant gets the same petrol engine option but a smaller 1.5-litre D117 CRDe diesel engine producing 117 BHP and 300 Nm torque with 6-speed manual transmission.

Now with the longer Mahindra Thar Armada 5 door, it will be interesting to see what different colour options it will get. Some of them might be shared with the 3 door model but a couple of new colours are expected to be exclusive for the bigger Thar.

We can expect a facelifted version of the 3-door Thar soon after 5 door’s debut with some new features on offer and slightly tweaked exterior to make it look fresh.
