Maruti S-Presso CNG Price Starts At Rs. 4.84 Lakhs

Maruti S-Presso CNG price starts from Rs. 4.84 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car is available in four S-CNG variants – LXI, LXI(O), VXI and VXI(O).

Maruti Suzuki claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 31.2 km/kg with the S-CNG model based on the BS6 compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine.

The car puts out 67 HP at 5500 RPM and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 RPM on petrol fuel. However, it produces lower 58 HP at 5500 RPM and 78 Nm of torque at 3500 RPM when it runs on CNG. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. There is no AMT gearbox option with the CNG version.

It comes with a 55-litre tank capacity of factory-fitted CNG. The S-CNG vehicles are equipped with dual interdependent ECUs and intelligent injection system. These are tuned and calibrated to deliver optimum performance and fuel efficiency.

The CNG version is Rs. 75,000/- more expensive than the regular petrol variant of the S-Presso. It was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020.

With the diesel engines getting discontinued, Maruti Suzuki is betting big on CNG for a greener future. They currently have the largest portfolio of factory fitted CNG cars. India’s largest carmaker has sold already sold one million green vehicles including CNG and Smart Hybrid vehicles. In the next couple of years with ‘Mission Green Million’, they aim to sell another one million green vehicles.

With the introduction of CNG, the S-Presso has further strengthened its place in its segment since the Renault Kwid doesn’t offer factory-fitted CNG yet.
