Maruti Suzuki eVX will make its debut in 2025

Maruti Suzuki eVX prototype spotted testing in Europe. The all-electric SUV will be jointly developed by Toyota and is scheduled to launch by 2025 in India.

Maruti Suzuki showcased three big products at the 2023 Auto Expo and the first one to get revealed was the eVX concept, followed by the Fronx and Jimny.

An all-electric SUV concept at the Auto Expo from the stall of India’s largest carmaker was a big deal since the Indian auto industry is starting to witness a sea of new EVs.

Maruti Suzuki announced some specs of the car at the exhibit. It measures 4.3 metres long and has a wheelbase of 2700 mm. It gets a 60 kWh battery with a claimed range of 550 km on full charge.

Maruti is expected to introduce two variants of this EV, the lower variant will get a smaller battery of 48 kWh having a range of around 400 km on full charge.

Now the prototype that has been spotted testing is fully camouflaged but if you notice carefully, the overall appearance looks very similar to the concept version showcased early this year.

The Maruti eVX is jointly being developed with Toyota. It is based on an all-new platform and is likely to make its debut in production form by 2025. There will be a Toyota version as well for this car. It will compete head-on with the upcoming Hyundai Creta electric.
