Mercedes has launched their most powerful car in India – Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 3.3 crores (ex-showroom). It is the first performance hybrid car from the German carmaker and the most powerful AMG production car in their lineup.

In terms of styling the front profile looks more aggressive than the regular GT 63 and the alloys wheel design is different too. Notice the plug-in hybrid power socket on the rear bumper. The interior has got some minor tweaks as well for differenciation.

The performance 4-door car is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine mated to an electric motor. The combined output is 843 HP and 1470 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Comes with 4Matic Plus all-wheel drive system.

It does 0-100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds while the top speed is 316 km/hr. The electric only range of the car is 13 km only as the hybrid system is meant for performance instead of longer range.

All Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance customers will get the key handover from Lewis Hamilton.
