Mercedes E-Class BS6 Price Starts At Rs. 57.50 Lakhs

Mercedes-Benz has introduced BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines with the E-Class LWB.

The Mercedes E-Class is now BS6 compliant as the German luxury carmaker has introduced BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines with the E-Class. It is being offered in two trim levels each for both petrol and diesel. The BS6 compliant E-Class price starts from Rs. 57.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options have been updated for BS6. The V6 3.0-litre diesel has not been updated yet to meet the emission norms. It is available in Expression and Exclusive trims. Rest of the car remains unchanged visually. The equipment list now gets new features including intuitive rear touchpad, Burmester high-end surround sound system, widescreen digital cockpit (12.3-inch) and a rear wireless charger.

The updated 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine now develops 13 HP more at 197 HP with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The petrol powered E-Class does the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 8 seconds. The 2.0-litre diesel engine continues with the same 194 BHP and 400 Nm torque output. The oil burner offers 0-100 km/hr acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. Both the engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes E-Class competes with the likes of Audi A6, BMW 5-Series, Jaguar XF, Lexus ES 300h and Volvo S90.
