MG Motor had a huge exhibit at the Auto Expo 2020. The carmaker showcased a wide range of products including new concepts, electric cars, soon to be launched vehicles and their flagship MG Gloster.

The Gloster is a full-size premium SUV which belongs to a segment higher than the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. It will be introduced in India by Diwali to compete with the Land Cruiser Prado and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The carmaker says it is a Rs. 80-90 lakhs product which the company is trying to introduce in India for Rs. 50 lakhs. MG Motor is aiming to have an annual sales of 5000-6000 units of the MG Gloster in India.

They believe the trend of premium products is going downhill and the Gloster will be a low volume game in the country. MG Motor says they will keep reinforcing the brand and show technological prowess by driving in new products.

They currently have two products on sale – MG Hector and MG ZS EV. The company will soon introduce the MG Hector Plus followed by the new MPV showcased at the Expo.
