New Royal Enfield motorcycles spied on test for the first time.

The seat height of the test mule seems to be low

Of late we have been learning about Royal Enfield developing new entry-level motorcycles targeted at youngsters. The bikes in question will get a 250cc engine and will offer easy to ride ergonomics being light in weight and slimmer than other Royal Enfield bikes.

We believe the test mules spotted here for the first time are the same entry-level RE bikes. The styling of the test mules looks inspired by the Triumph Street Twin. It looks lower and slimmer compared to the existing range of RE bikes.

The 250cc bikes are internally codenamed as J1C and are likely to be sold under the Explorer brand. The first product under this brand was expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2020 but seems like the launch has been delayed due to BS6 transition.

The Indian bike maker is working aggressively on introducing new volume spinners in the Indian market since their market share is declining. With the new range of 250cc bikes, RE is preparing to cater a wider audience with more affordable pricing and easy ergonomics.
