2013 Suzuki A-Star Facelift

After being spotted multiple times, the facelifted Alto has finally made its uncamouflaged entry in China. This Alto is not the same one on sale in India, because the latest generation Alto is sold as the A-Star in our country. Maruti Suzuki did not want to discontinue the old generation Alto and hence re-named the new model. The A-Star is one of the worst selling products for Maruti Suzuki and has failed to sell in decent numbers. The company’s next focus would be on the A-Star.

Maruti Suzuki will bring in an update to the A-Star soon. The facelifted model showcased here does look much better than the current model sold in India. The styling is sharper and the changes to the front make the car bolder and mature. The old A-Star is known for its cute looks but this has some bit of manliness attached to it. However if you remove the Suzuki badge, people might mistake the new A-Star to be a Hyundai model.

Suzuki has also given the interiors a minor update in the form of new colors. The changes to the dashboard are very minimal though and the interiors have never been the problem of the A-Star. With the overall improvements, Maruti Suzuki might have a chance to boost sales of the car. The company could also take opportunity of correcting prices with the launch of the updated model. A small diesel engine is being developed by Suzuki Japan, which could make its way to the A-Star in 2015.
