Aprilia has made quite an evolution in the Indian scooter market with the introduction of the SR 150. With its sporty design and fun ride quality, it has charmed the Indian youth at a great extent. As Aprilia is famous worldwide for its extremely power packed motorcycles, the SR 150 absolutely epitomises the brand’s image. The Italian manufacturer is ready with some more surprises for next year, as the SR scooter will get a new entrant with some upgrades.
As of now, we cannot make a statement about the exact additions and updates this new Aprilia scooter will receive. It is known that the new moped will be more lively than the current SR 150. Perhaps, the changes will at the cosmetic and feature end. The prices can be expected to be a bit high than that of the ongoing version.
Being sold at Piaggio’s dealerships, the Aprilia SR 150 has been doing well since its launch. Vespa has attracted the masses to a great extent as well. Both the offerings provide a premium feel with the convenience of a scooter and, fortunately, moped lovers will be greeted with a new exciting scooter from the Aprilia.
The Aprilia SR 150 has been built on the same engine platform as that of the Vespa. Slight differences have been made to the power and engine tune. The SR 150 has more grunt in its exhaust note. With the 150cc engine, the Italian moped produces 11.4 BHP of power and possesses 11.4 Nm of torque. It has been priced at Rs. 65,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
