The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander has been imported in India for homologation purposes. Two units of the GLX 4WD variant have been imported into the country.

Mitsubishi India has imported two units of the Outlander SUV for homologation purposes. According to Indian imports website Zauba, two units of the GLX 4WD variants have been brought in the country on 22 October 2016. It indicates a launch of the said vehicle in the upcoming months. The vehicles have been imported from Japan and each one of them costs around Rs. 10 lakhs excluding duty.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander is available in international markets in both five and seven seater configurations. The variant brought to India is the 7-seater configuration one. Internationally, the Outlander is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC engine that puts out 165 HP of power and 222 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a CVT gearbox. The Outlander can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in 10.2 seconds and can reach a top whack of 198 km/hr.

In the international version it comes equipped with active stability control, 7 airbags and ABS with EBD. Mitsubishi has not being doing well in India and all over the world with dealerships shutting down and sales being dismal. Mitsubishi aims to step up its game by bringing new models in the country and reviving sales. It will go up against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Chevrolet TrailBlazer in India.
