2013 Hyundai i10 spied

The next generation Hyundai i10 has been spotted in Europe during its testing. The car is heavily camouflaged which means that the i10 has undergone quite a few changes and not just a minor facelift. It is expected that this new version will be shown to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in March or the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. The car will reach production by end of 2013 in Turkey. The new i10 may hit Indian shores a few months after its international launch.

The second generation Hyundai i10 is bigger than the current version and is longer as well as wider. It will stray from its typical tall boy design slightly with a new roofline, and changes in the front and rear pillars. It will get new headlight design as well possibly keeping with the fluidic concept. The vehicle has different lines from the profile view too, new tail lamps and most probably a new hatch design too. All these changes appear to give the i10 a more mature design as compared to the current model.

When the new Hyundai i10 is launched by the end of this year, it will boast of a 3-cylinder petrol engine and in all probability a new 1.1-litre diesel engine may be introduced. Though this is not confirmed, this is great news for customers back home. Hyundai is working very hard to keep their line-up as frequently updated as possible, with many cars in their line-up all over the world having been updated recently. Few new cars too are in development phase and would mark the company’s entry into newer segments.
