Time and tide waits for no man or motorcycle and its more than a decade since the first Bajaj Pulsar was launched. The Pulsar has evolved over the years but the basic chassis and design has still remained the same. With intense competition in the two wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto is set to launch the next generation Pulsars which will be all new ground up at the 2012 Auto Expo. The 2012 Bajaj Pulsar will feature an all new design, bigger engines, more power, lighter weight, more features, 4-valve engine and alot more. The Pune based automaker was also launch the next generation Discover at the said Expo which will again feature revolutionary features.

The next generation Pulsar series will share alot of parts with the upcoming KTM Duke bike. The company will utilise expertise gained from manufacturing the KTM Duke at its Chakan facility and will implement it in the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar. The KTM Duke 125’s engine might be overbored to form 135, 150 and 180cc variants of the next generation Pulsars.

“We will have a completely new range of Discovers and Pulsars in the market in less than six months from now. These will be built on totally new platforms and will have very little or no similarity with the present generation models. Our target is to make seven to eight million units every year, including the new range, after three or four years. Some of the existing vehicles will remain and some will be replaced,” Bajaj Auto MD, Rajiv Bajaj said.
