Yamaha is reportedly working on the next generation R25 (R3 for the Indian market). The R25 is expected to be launched in the global markets sometime next year and the renders of the bike have already started surfacing online.

Starting off with the looks, the bike is likely to receive a new design and be more technologically advanced than its predecessor. The design is likely to be on the lines of the 2018 R6 and R1. The vehicle is expected to get new inverted front forks, LED headlights and a revised tail section. According to sources, the next generation R3/R25 is also expected to feature Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and a new chassis as well.

The 2018 Yamaha R25 for the Indonesian market recently received only a colour and graphics update. It comes powered by a 249cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel injected engine that produces 36 PS of power and 22.6 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 2018 Yamaha R3 for the Indian market recently received the addition of a dual-channel ABS system and Metzeler Sportec M5 tyres. The R3 draws power from a bigger BS4 compliant 321cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel injected mill that outputs 42 PS and 29.6 Nm.
