The Nissan Kicks is going to be launched in India next week and this compact SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur. Ahead of its launch, the brochure of the car has been leaked, revealing variant and feature details.

Based on the details given on the brochure, the Nissan Kicks will be available in four variants at the time of launch – XL, XV, XV Pre and the range-topping XV Pre Option. Starting off with the base variant, it rides on 16-inch steel wheels and will have halogen headlamps, though LED DRLs will be offered as standard.

Inside the cabin, rear AC vents and automatic climate control are two of the most highlighting features. Additionally, there will be features like a 6-way adjustable seat for the driver and a 2-DIN audio system with Nissan Connect and Bluetooth.

Better features start off from the XV variant itself. The variant rides on 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels and offers front fog lamps. Inside the cabin, there is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and voice recognition, along with a rear-view camera.

The XV Pre gets cruise control, keyless entry with smart card and engine start/stop button. On the outside, LED projector headlamps replace the halogen units.

The range-topping XV Pre Option gets all of the features from the lower trims, along with the inclusion of cornering function for the fog lamps, follow-me-home automatic headlamps and 360-degree camera. The cabin wears a dual-tone appearance with leather upholstery.

Mechanically, the Nissan Kicks can be had in two engine trims. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine is capable of producing 105 BHP of power at 5600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Power is channelled to the wheels via a 5-speed manual unit.

On the other hand, the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine churns out 108 BHP at 3850 RPM and 240 Nm of torque, which comes at just 1750 RPM. A 6-speed gearbox does the transmission duties.

Safety-wise, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution are given as standard. Rear fog lamps and side airbags are restricted to the top trim, while Hill Start Assist is given on the XV Pre. Vehicle Dynamic Control is also offered in all the trims, barring the base model.

The Nissan Kicks can be had in seven colour options – Fire Red, Night Shade, Amber Orange, Deep Blue Pearl, Bronze Grey, Blade Silver and Pearl White. Additionally, the top trim will be available in four dual-tone paint options as well.
