2011 Nissan Micra Sedan

The Nissan Micra has been a global hit and the company wants to tap on this by launching a saloon version of the Micra. The Micra saloon will be showcased at this years Guangzhou show in December and the company plans to call it the Sunny. However the same name might not make it to India as Bajaj (Sunny scooter) has the rights to the name. The Sunny is based on the the ‘V-platform’, a platform which has been designed primarily to make financial sense in emerging markets. In India the Nissan Sunny will be launched by May, 2011 and will be powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 100bhp and the 1.5 liter diesel that powers the current Micra.
