Ola Electric to begin phased deliveries of its Roadster X electric motorcycle from May 23

Ola Electric has confirmed that deliveries of its much-anticipated electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, will commence on May 23. The rollout is expected to happen in phases, with initial deliveries likely to begin in Bangalore.

Unveiled in February 2025, the Roadster X marks Ola’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment. While the bike was originally slated for delivery in March, timelines were pushed back twice due to undisclosed delays.

Multiple Battery Options and Pricing

The Roadster X offers buyers three battery configurations — 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh and 6 kWh — catering to a range of usage needs. Prices start at Rs. 84,999 and go up to Rs. 1.85 lakh, depending on the battery pack chosen.

Mechanical and Performance Features

On the hardware front, the electric bike features a telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and is equipped with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

The Roadster X includes three riding modes — Eco, Normal and Sport — allowing riders to tailor performance to different conditions. Additional tech-focused features include cruise control, regenerative braking, a reverse mode and brake-by-wire technology paired with a single-channel ABS system.

Looking Ahead

The launch of the Roadster X is a significant step for Ola Electric as it broadens its product range beyond electric scooters. With a blend of competitive pricing, multiple battery options, and rider-friendly features, the Roadster X is aimed at appealing to a broad spectrum of electric two-wheeler buyers in India.
