Range Rover Sport SV is powered by a BMW sourced 4.4-litre engine

Land Rover has revealed their most powerful production car ever – Range Rover Sport SV. The new generation Sport is even more powerful than the outgoing SVR.

In terms of looks, the SV has a more sporty and sharp styling bits compared to the regular model. It comes with a newly styled grille and a huge bumper with humongous air intakes. Notice the power bulge on the hood with sporty elements including bonnet vents.

On the side profile you will notice some air vents and new set of wheels. These are no ordinary wheels, these are 23-inch carbon fibre units that save 35 kg weight. It comes with carbon ceramic discs and Brembo brake callipers for strong stopping power.

The interior also gets exclusive details including carbon fibre-backed SV Performance Seats with integrated headrests, more sculpted bolsters and illuminated SV logos on their backrests.

Other new elements include translucent edge-lit gear shift paddles behind the steering wheel with more pronounced thumb grips, black ceramic for the console gear shifter, etc.

There is a new party trick in the SV which is the Body and Soul Seat (BASS). According to the carmaker it offers a multi-dimensional audio experience with wellness benefits which allows front seat occupants to feel the sound. Incorporating SUBPAC AI optimising software, and transducers aligned to front seat occupants’ backs, it generates high fidelity audio vibrations. This system works in combination with the 29-speaker, 1430W, Meridian Signature Sound System.

Now let’s talk about the most important bit of this performance SUV. It is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is tuned to produce 635 PS and 750 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has a top speed of 290 km/hr and does 0-96 km/hr in 3.6 seconds.
