Renault will skip the second generation Duster launch in India

Renault India has skipped the launch of second generation Duster. It is currently on sale globally since quite a long while. The French carmaker kept delaying the introduction of new Duster thinking that it’ll hamper the sales of Captur. Now they’re developing the third gen Duster in India.

India will lead the development of the third generation Renault Duster. It is expected to make its global debut in 2023. Renault will be offering only petrol engine options with the upcoming Duster. They plan to discontinue diesel powered cars post 2020.

The third generation Renault Duster will get smaller capacity turbocharged petrol engine options. The compact SUV might get a hybrid variant in India too. The new Duster is being developed keeping in mind the plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains as well for export countries.

The upcoming Duster is expected to come with a whole new design language inside out. The car will get equipped with new connectivity features and will get a brand new interior styling. The development process for the new Duster has begun already.

Meanwhile, Renault is prepping to introduce a substantial facelift for the current Duster in India. The car was spotted undisguised a few days back in a new colour and many other changes. The updated Duster will get new interior details, spruced up exterior and more features on offer. Engine options will remain unchanged.
