The Renault Kwid will be India’s most fuel efficient petrol vehicle returning a claimed mileage of 25.17 km/l and is being offered in four variants. There are also a whopping 60 accessory options to choose from.

Renault India will be the newest entrant in the small car space with the Kwid hatchback that is all set to arrive in showrooms later this month and will be offered in four variants. The French hatchback surely has some neat tricks up its sleeve with the butch styling, high ground clearance and a neat interior. It has now been confirmed that the Kwid will also be the country’ most fuel efficient petrol vehicle returning an ARAI certified 25.17 km/l, helping matters further. With a launch set for later this month, here is what you will get on each variant of the new hatchback.

Renault Kwid Standard – The Kwid entry-level model will only come with the basics in order to keep a lower asking price and misses out on the fancy bits including the touchscreen unit or safety features. You get –

Renault Kwid RXE – The mid-level trim adds a host of aesthetic appeal to the hatchback, apart from improving the feature list marginally. The RxE offers –

* Satin silver finish on dashboard
* HVAC unit with heater
* Passenger side sun visor
* Lower glovebox with lid

Renault Kwid RxL – Carrying over features from the Standard and RxE trims, the Kwid RxL comes with sizeable amount of feature upgrades including –

In terms of power, the Renault Kwid uses a newly developed 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine producing 54 BHP and 72 Nm of torque, paired a to a 5-speed manual gearbox. All variants ride on 13-inch tubeless tyres, while wheel covers are restricted to only the top trims. The car measures 3679 mm in length, 1471 mm in width and 1579 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2422 mm. The Kwid gets a rather impressive ground clearance of 180 mm, while a kerb weight of just 660 kgs will only make it a peppy mover within city limits. The boot capacity stands at 300-litres.

Positioned as a car for young aspirants, the Renault Kwid will be offered with as many as 60 optional accessories to spruce up the package further, while colour options include red, bronze, white, silver and grey. Pricing will be a key factor for the success of the Kwid that till now has gained a positive word for its looks. The company is all set to start accepting bookings for the model from 14th September pan India.
