Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Price Hike
The Meteor 350 has been a volume puller for Enfield

Royal Enfield has announced the Meteor 350 and Himalayan price hike a week after the introduction of the new Classic 350

Royal Enfield has rolled out a price hike for its Meteor 350 cruiser and Himalayan adventure motorcycle.

Now, the Meteor 350 costs up to Rs. 6429/- more in September than it did last month, while the Himalayan’s asking price sees a jump of Rs. 4589/-.

As can be seen from the table below, despite the price hike, the Royal Enfield Meteor and the new generation Classic 350, which is priced between Rs. 1.84 lakhs and Rs. 2.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, Chennai), sit in the same price bracket.

This might turn out to be confusing for some. What’s more, both share the same powertrain, switchgear and equipment, like the Tripper navigation assist, which adds further to the confusion.

Below are the details of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 price hike –

2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Granite Black
Bikes, and vehicles in general, are getting more and more expensive

It is well known that the Himalayan was upgraded for 2021 in February and its cost was increased a bit recently too, which makes this price hike a rather unwelcome one. But that goes for every price hike, eh!

As mentioned above, the adventure motorcycle costs Rs. 4589/- more than before and below is the table explaining the cost difference.

ColourAug ’21 PriceSept ’21 PriceDifference
Gravel Grey & Mirage SilverRs. 2,05,784/-Rs. 2,10,373/-Rs. 4589/-

Granite Black & Pine GreenRs. 2,13,273/-Rs. 2,17,862/-Rs. 4589/-

Both motorcycles remain mechanically unchanged and the increase in their asking price might have been due to fast rising input costs that the industry is dealing with from 2020.
