Skoda Kushaq spotted undisguised on Indian roads ahead of its scheduled launch in June. The compact SUV was revealed last month on 18th March. With the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19, we believe the launch will be delayed further as Skoda has already announced to postpone the Octavia launch which was supposed to go on sale later this month.

Now coming back to the Skoda Kushaq. The compact SUV looks quite proportional and has a good presence on the road as you can see in the video. The latest design direction from Skoda makes it look sharp from the front profile. It has lost very little styling from the concept version, it looks more or less the same.

The huge butterfly grille, the sharp split headlamps and the chiseled bumper will definitely catch your attention. The side profile looks upright with a sharp shoulder line and this would remind you of its elder siblings like the Skoda Karoq.

The rear profile gets sleek tail light cluster with reflectors having the continual effect. There is a faux skid plate low down and the tail gate has a bold Skoda lettering.

The Skoda Kushaq spotted undisguised here gets dark alloy wheels and this adds to the youthful appeal of the compact SUV.

While we haven’t driven it yet but looking at the car’s movement on bumps and potholes, it seems like the ride quality will be comfortable.

Skoda India has achieved 95 percent localisation with the Kushaq. Expect it to be priced aggressively in the segment.

Skoda will be offering a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol producing 115 PS and 175 Nm of torque. It will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a new fourth-generation 6-speed automatic.

There will be a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor as well, good for 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG).

The Skoda Kushaq will compete with the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun (based on the same platform), Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, etc.
