Skoda had showcased the Laura RS at the 2010 Auto Expo and finally have decided to put it on sale in September. But hold your horses as its not going to be more than a cosmetic makeover. As you know, petrol now costs close to Rs. 70 kmpl. Thus the company has decided to keep the Laura with a 1.8 TSi engine which produces 160bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. So what is the Laura RS about if it hasn’t got the 2.0 TSi motor which produces 200 bhp of power? Well, the Laura RS is a Laura petrol with the looks of the vRS. It features bigger wheels, body kit, vRS badging, LED lights, rear spoiler, 3-spoke steering wheel, etc. In short, the upcoming Laura RS is all show with a slight go.
