The next-Generation Octavia will be introduced by the end of 2020.

Skoda Octavia Pros Cons
Skoda might offer Octavia in India with 1.5-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI powertrains

The current-generation Skoda Octavia will not be updated with a BS6 compliant powertrain. As of now, the Octavia is offered with a 1.4-litre TSI engine with an output of 150 PS and 250 Nm, 1.8-litre TSI rated at 180 PS and 250 Nm, and a 2.0-litre TDI engine which churns out 143 PS power and 320 Nm torque.

The termination of production has been announced as BS6 norms kick in from April 2020. The current 2.0-litre TDI engine would require a lot of alterations to be BS6 compliant, and doing so will be of not much use as the new generation Octavia will be launched soon. Skoda has also phased out the existing 1.8-litre engine TSI globally.

Skoda has come up with the fourth-generation Octavia which will launch in India in late 2020. The new generation model globally gets 3 petrol engines: a 1.0-litre TSI with 110 PS power and 200 Nm torque, a 1.5-litre with 150 PS power and  250 Nm torque, and a 2.0-litre TSI with 290 PS power and 320 Nm torque. The diesel is offered with a 2.0-litre TDI EVO in 3 states of tune: 115 PS, 150 PS, and 250 PS power.

Skoda might offer Octavia in India with 1.5-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI powertrains. The key features of the 2020 Skoda Octavia are a 10.25-inch virtual cockpit, 4 infotainment systems with screens measuring from 8.25 to 10 inches. The highlights also include voice control, gesture controls, HUD(Head-up display) and three-zone automatic air-conditioning.

India will also get the Octavia RS 245. Only 200 units will be imported to India in Completely Built-Up (CBU) form.
