Suzuki Access ABS

Suzuki Access 125 updated with single-channel ABS, pricing starts Rs. 92,328/-

Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated the Access 125 with the addition of single-channel ABS, marking a significant safety enhancement for the popular scooter. With this move, the Access becomes one of the most affordable scooters in India to offer Anti-lock Braking System technology in the 125cc segment.

The ABS-equipped version is available in the higher trims of the lineup. The Ride Connect ABS variant is priced at Rs. 92,328/-, while the Ride Connect TFT ABS variant costs Rs. 98,378/- (all prices ex-showroom). These versions command a premium over their non-ABS counterparts but remain competitively positioned within the segment.

The addition of single-channel ABS is currently limited to the top two trims. Until now, ABS in the scooter space has largely been seen in higher-capacity models such as the TVS Ntorq 150, Aprilia SR 175, Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160, where regulatory requirements apply due to engine displacement. Suzuki’s decision to introduce the system on a mass-market 125cc scooter reflects a shift towards improved safety offerings even in more affordable segments.

Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged. The Suzuki Access 125 continues to be powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.4 HP and 10.2 Nm of torque. There are no revisions to performance or hardware apart from the braking system update.

Launched in its new-generation avatar last year with broader feature and design updates, the Access 125 continues to be one of Suzuki’s highest-selling products in India. The introduction of ABS is aimed at strengthening its appeal amid rising competition and increasing emphasis on rider safety.
