Tata Motors will be launching 3 new cars in 2019, the third one will be the 7-seater version of the Harrier.

The H7X will get the automatic gearbox right from launch

Tata Motors displayed the H5X concept at the 2018 Auto Expo and now the production version of the car, namely the Harrier will be launched in January 2019. We all know that the Indian automaker is also developing a 7-seater version of the SUV, codenamed the H7X.

The 7-seater version of the Tata Harrier will be launched in India towards the end of 2019. This SUV will obviously be positioned above the Harrier but will share mechanicals with its smaller sibling. The H7X will get the same 2.0-litre diesel engine but it is likely to get a higher state of tune.

While the Harrier gets only a manual gearbox option at launch, the H7X will get the 6-speed AT immediately. The H7X will be based on the same Omega platform which will be tweaked a bit to accommodate 7 seats.

The Harrier will be launched in early 2019, while the H7X will be launched in late 2019. Meanwhile, Tata Motors will also launch the 45X premium hatchback in mid-2019. This vehicle will be slotted above the Tiago and it will rival the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20. With 3 major launches on the anvil, 2019 seems to be a very interesting year for Tata Motors.
