Tata Safari Dark Edition launch on the cards, finally!

The new generation Tata Safari made its debut with the Adventure Persona edition followed by the Gold Edition during the IPL and now it is getting the Dark Edition soon.

The Tata Harrier was the first car in the family to get the Dark Edition that was received quite well by the Indian audience. In July this year, the Dark Edition was extended to the Altroz as well as the Nexon.

The Indian janta was expecting the new Safari to debut with the all-black edition but the manufacturer decided to introduce the Adventure Persona edition instead that gets Tropical Mist colour and brown upholstery for the interior.

The Gold Edition Safari launched in September got black and white colour options with gold accents inside out and marble texture on the dashboard.

The Safari Dark Edition will make its debut in the first quarter of 2022. It will get the same all-black treatment like the Harrier. The SUV is painted in Oberon Black finish with a tinge of deep blue along with piano black finish on the grille, ORVMs, door handles, etc. The interior gets Benecke Kaliko leatherette upholstery with #Dark branding.

The newly updated features like wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with air purifier and ventilated seats are also expected to be offered with the Dark Edition.

There will be no mechanical changes. It will continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine churning out 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. Expect the price to be around Rs. 1 lakh premium over the regular variant of the Safari.
