Tata Sierra EV launch planned for 2025

Tata Sierra EV was the showstopper of Tata Motors stall at the 2023 Auto Expo, launch planned for 2025. The electric SUV was showcased for the second time in its concept avatar.

The 2023 Auto Expo witnessed the second version of the Sierra EV concept. The redesigned version had a new design language.

Some say it resembles the new Land Rover Defender a lot. Well, it has a retro appeal in its design. The front profile of the concept has a sleek headlight integration, illuminated Tata logo and a muscular bumper.

The side profile gets huge alloy wheels with a unique and attractive design. It comes with black cladding on the lower half of the body and flush door handles for better aerodynamics.

Until the B-pillar it looks like a regular SUV but beyond it comes the signature styling of the Sierra which will remind you of the OG model. It has got that curved glass affect and an upright stance.

The rear profile too looks attractive with a roof spoiler, sleek LED tail lamp and rugged bumper. Overall, it is a stunning looking concept and we believe the production version retains most of the styling bits showcased here.

The interior has a minimalistic approach but looks very premium. It has a huge dual screen setup on the dash. The dashboard itself has a dual tone layered design. The 4-spoke steering looks retro and has an illuminated Tata logo as well. The centre console is neatly designed with minimal buttons.

The rear passenger seats have got a lounge inspired design. Of course the production version will get the regular seat design but this looks quite attractive.

Tata Motors didn’t reveal the specs of the Sierra EV but we believe it will get a powerful electric motor with a sizeable battery to offer up to 600 km of range. It will compete with Mahindra’s upcoming range of EVs.

We expect Tata Motors to introduce the ICE version of the Sierra as well to cater a wider audience.
