Tata Tiago NRG to get CNG option soon

Tata Tiago NRG CNG version teased officially, launch soon. As we all know, the NRG is the more rugged looking version of the Tiago hatchback. This variant wasn’t available with the factory fitted CNG yet.

To offer more options to the CNG buyers in the country, the carmaker is all set to introduce the Tiago NRG with their iCNG technology. Currently the Tiago iCNG is available in 5 variants while the Tigor iCNG is available across 3 variants.

Apart from the new powertrain option, we don’t believe there will be any new features or cosmetic updates on the Tiago NRG iCNG. In the official teaser, the car looks exactly the same.

The Tiago NRG is offered in two variants currently – XT and XZ. We believe the CNG option will be offered with both the variants.

The NRG trim comes with higher ground clearance of 181 mm, rugged cladding, black roof with rails, faux skid plate, charcoal black interior, 14-inch alloys, etc.

The regular Tiago CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 73.4 PS at 6000 RPM and 95 Nm of torque at 3500 RPM in the CNG mode. In petrol mode it offers 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

We believe the Tiago NRG will come with the same specs of iCNG.
