Only the Gixxer posted positive growth in April

Perched on top of the 150cc bike sales list for April 2021 is the Apache series by sheer volume, but, realistically, it is the Bajaj Pulsar, which occupies spot 2, that should be number 1.

All of the Apache models collectively registered sales of 29,458 units, while Bajaj retailed 21,100 units of the Pulsar 150 in April this year.

As is the usual case, the Honda Unicorn, 16,602 unit sales, came third yet again this past month, followed by the Yamaha FZ, that found 12,298 takers.

The R15 from Yamaha came fifth, having registered sales of just over 6000 units, while the MT-15, also from the Japanese manufacturer’s stable, took sixth position with 5692 unit sales.

Hero MotoCorp’s Xtreme has yet again failed to impress, for the bike only found 2293 takers in the month of April and the figures also include Xtreme 200S’ sales, but the split between the duo is not known.

Then comes the Gixxer from Suzuki, taking eighth position in the April 2021 150cc bike sales list. The 150cc motorcycle could only find 2110 buyers this past month.

Bajaj Auto’s Avenger Street 160 (1925 units) and Hornet 2.0 from Honda (186 units) complete the top 10 150cc bike sales list.

With the exception of the Suzuki Gixxer no other motorcycle in the segment registered month-on-month (MoM) growth in April. Total sales of the motorcycles in the list stood at 97,686 units, which is a 23 percent MoM degrowth.
