Both Renault and Nissan’s compact SUVs have found a decent number of buyers

The Maruti Vitara Brezza tops the compact SUV sales in February 2021, but is very closely followed by the Hyundai Venue.

Both cars found over 11,000 takers, but the Vitara Brezza (11,585 units) trumped the Venue (11,224 units) by a mere 361 units.

In third place came the Sonet from Hyundai that registered near enough 8000 unit sales, while Tata retailed 7929 units of its Nexon.

Newcomer Renault Kiger takes the fifth position in the February 2021 compact SUV sales list, followed by the XUV300 and the Ford EcoSport, both of which found over 3170 takers.

Nissan sold 2991 units of the Magnite this past month, while Mahindra retailed 2842 units of the Thar compact SUV. Both these vehicles would sell more provided that the manufacturers can increase their production numbers.

The final 2 spots in the sales list are occupied by the Toyota Urban Cruiser (2549 units) and the Honda WR-V that fetched 1004 unit sales.

In terms of year-on-year (YoY) growth, the Nexon from Tata Motors, with 104 percent, did better than the others, while the Vitara Brezza (69 percent) and XUV300 (31 percent) did well too.

Overall sales of the cars in the compact SUV segment stood at 57,692 units, which is a 112 percent YoY growth rate, contributed mostly by the addition of new vehicles.
