Top-Selling Hatchbacks In April 2021

Maruti Alto retained its top position in the entry-level hatchback sales in April 2021. A total of 17,303 units of the popular car were sold this past month.
The S-Presso came second with 7738 unit sales, followed by the Renault Kwid with 3236 units to its name. The last place once again goes to the Datsun redi-GO which found 346 takers in April.
Collectively, the 4 models witnessed 28,623 unit sales, which is a 3 percent month-on-month (MoM) decline in sales.

Hatchback sales in April 2021 saw the Maruti Wagon R emerge as the new leader, defeating the Swift by only a few hundred units.
Third-placed Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS saw a solid sales figure of 11,540 units, while the Tata Tiago, which came fourth, managed to find 6656 takers.
Maruti’s Ignis sold 4522 times over, while the Hyundai Santro which comes next witnessed 2683 unit sales.
Surprisingly, the Celerio fared poorly in the month of April, as Maruti sold only 367 units of the city runabout. The less said about the 3 other models in the list, the better.
Overall sales of the models in the hatchback list stood at 62,776 units, which is down by -10 percent when compared to March 2021.
