Toyota has revised prices of the Toyota Fortuner in India, with increases ranging between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 87,000 depending on the variant. Following the update, the SUV’s ex-showroom pricing now starts at Rs. 34.76 lakhs and extends up to Rs. 50.46 lakhs for the range-topping GR-S version.
The price adjustment impacts both petrol and diesel variants, with the petrol automatic seeing a uniform hike of Rs 60,000. Among diesel models, increments vary across trims, with higher-spec variants witnessing steeper revisions. Notably, the Legender and GR-S derivatives, along with the standard 4WD automatic version, have received the most significant price increases.
The GR-S variant registers the highest jump of Rs. 87,000, while the Legender mild-hybrid automatic version sees a hike of Rs. 83,000. Other diesel variants, including both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options, have also been revised upwards by Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 78,000.
In terms of powertrains, the Fortuner continues with its existing engine lineup. The petrol variant is powered by a 2.7-litre unit producing 166 HP and is paired exclusively with an automatic transmission. Diesel versions use a 2.8-litre engine generating 204 HP, available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. Toyota also offers a 48V mild-hybrid system with select diesel automatic variants, while four-wheel drive remains limited to diesel trims.
Looking ahead, the next-generation Fortuner is expected to retain its ladder-frame architecture along with the 2.8-litre diesel engine and mild-hybrid setup. This move suggests Toyota’s intent to balance performance and efficiency even as stricter emission norms come into effect.
The price revision comes at a time when Toyota continues to report strong sales momentum in India. The company recorded over 1.37 lakh total sales between January and April 2026, marking a 19 percent year-on-year growth. Domestic sales during the same period stood at approximately 1.27 lakh units, reflecting a 20 percent increase compared to last year.
