Toyota has suspended exports to Iran indefinitely, amid growing international pressure on Iran over its nuclear programme. The company halted sales in early June after the U.N Security Council decided to slap additional sanctions on the country. The Japanese carmajor’s exports to Iran have fallen dramatically with only 4,000 four-wheel-drive Land Cruiser SUVs and other models being exported to Iran in 2008 andonly 250 units in 2009. About 220 units have been shipped this year.
