Triumph is not just good at making classics and street fighters but also bobbers, which will now be clear to all its rivals. While Harley-Davidson has been doing well with its Sportster and Iron series of bobbers, Triumph may now acquire some part of the position in the market. The Bonneville Bobber was unveiled in October and was looking for the right time to get introduced. Finally, reports have been obtained for it to be launched in February 2017 in India.

The upcoming Triumph Bonneville Bobber is basically based on the Bonneville T120 with some major work been done on the design. The extremely low saddle height, short handlebar, tiny round headlamp, big front wheel contrary to the rear, and metal and chrome finish on the majority of elements makes it a perfect epitome of its segment. Moreover, it comes with a single unit instrument console packed with a lot of information acting as a tachometer, gear shift indicator, service indicator and two provisions of trip setting.

Expected to be launched in February 2017, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber will be priced between Rs. 10 to 12 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Mechanically, it carries a high-capacity 1200cc motor which is good enough to produce 80 BHP of power and 105 Nm of torque. Being equipped with switchable traction control for enhancement of rider safety, it comes with two riding modes including ‘road’ and ‘rain’. For that price tag, it might prove to be a good alternative to its rivals.
