TVS became the talk of town when they showcased the Akula 310 Concept motorcycle at the 2016 Auto Expo, gathering a lot of eyeballs with that carbon-fibre fairing. The production version of the bike is expected to be unveiled in the festive season this year. Now TVS has released an official video showing various features and innovations present in the Akula 310.

Set in the backdrop of bass-heavy somber music, the advertisement is a mixture of moving images and trivial information about the bike to generate hype for the motorcycle. The two minute promo starts-off with some information about the racing history of TVS. Amid shots of gleaming carbon-fibre body panels, the text boasts of all the “race inspired” features of the TVS Akula 310.

The video demonstrates the single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine of the Akula 310, ram-air intake system, trellis frame chassis, suspension systems and the onboard gyro-camera assist. Effective lighting and camera trickery results in the carbon-fibre panels shining in the dark with contrast to other components of the bike, making it look very drool-worthy.

The TVS Akula 310 is the first product jointly developed by the company shaking hands with BMW. The motorcycle shares the 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine and the alloy wheels with the BMW G310R. The road-going version of the Akula (which translates to Shark in Russian), will compete with the likes of the KTM RC 390, Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
