TVS has now equipped the Apache RTR 160 with a single-channel ABS system.

TVS had launched the ABS version of the Apache RTR 160 4V ABS few days back and now the company has launched the ABS variant of the carburetted bike. The Apache RTR 160 ABS is priced at Rs. 84,710/- for the front disc variant and Rs. 87,719/- (all prices ex-showroom) for the rear disc variant which translates into a premium of Rs. 6000/- over the non-ABS variants.

Apart from the addition of a single-channel ABS unit, no other changes have been made to the motorcycle. It comes with a 160cc, air-cooled, single-cyl engine churning out 15 HP at 8500 RPM and 13 Nm at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with a 270 mm front disc while at the rear you get either a drum or an optional 200 mm disc. The TVS Apache RTR 160 competes with the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160.
