TVS iQube 2.2

TVS slashes iQube prices by up to Rs. 26,000 and boosts battery capacity

In a strategic move to enhance the appeal of its electric scooter lineup, TVS Motor Company has announced price reductions and battery upgrades for its popular iQube series. The updates affect all major variants, including the base model, iQube S and the top-tier iQube ST, with price cuts ranging up to Rs. 26,000 and incremental improvements in battery capacity.

Revised Pricing and Battery Capacity

The base iQube now carries a price tag of Rs. 1.31 lakhs (ex-showroom), reflecting a Rs. 16,000 price cut. This entry-level variant continues to be equipped with a standard slow charger. Meanwhile, the iQube S, which now retails at Rs. 1.40 lakhs, and the base version of the iQube ST, now priced at Rs. 1.50 lakhs, also receive the same Rs. 16,000 reduction. Both these models come bundled with a faster 950W charger, capable of recharging the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just three hours.

In terms of performance enhancements, the base, S and entry-level ST variants have all been upgraded to a 3.5kWh battery pack, a marginal increase of 0.1kWh. This has led to an improved claimed IDC range of 145 km for these models.

Top-Spec ST Sees Bigger Battery, Longer Range

The higher-spec version of the iQube ST receives a more significant upgrade. Its battery capacity has been increased by 0.2kWh to 5.3kWh, resulting in a claimed IDC range of 212 km on a single charge. Despite this increase in battery size, the 0-80 percent charging time remains unchanged at 4 hours and 18 minutes. This variant now comes at a revised price of Rs. 1.59 lakh — down by Rs. 26,000.

Additional Features Across the Range

TVS has also introduced a set of standard cosmetic and comfort enhancements across the iQube lineup. All models now feature a beige inner apron, a pillion backrest and a flyscreen, aimed at improving both the aesthetics and practicality of the scooters.

Market Implications

With these updates, TVS is clearly aiming to stay competitive in the fast-growing electric two-wheeler segment. The price cuts could make the iQube more accessible to a broader customer base, while the slight bump in battery capacity enhances the value proposition for daily commuters.

By refining both the pricing and performance metrics of the iQube series, TVS is positioning itself to attract more urban electric vehicle buyers seeking a blend of affordability, range and convenience.
