The new TVS scooter is based on the Graphite concept

It’s out in the open that TVS is going to launch a new 125cc scooter in the market to rival the likes of the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Grazia. Just a couple of days back, the Chennai-based automaker released a teaser for the same and confirmed its launch date as 5th of February. According to recent reports on the internet, the new scooter is likely to be called TVS Ntorq 125.

First showcased as the Graphite concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, the scooter will be powered by a 125cc motor mated to a CVT transmission. Since the manufacturer is silent on specific engine details as of now, it is also possible that the scooter may get a 150cc heart that will allow it to go against the Piaggio Vespa 150 and Aprilia SR 150.

Features such as LED DRLs, 12-inch alloy wheels, fully digital meter console and engine kill switch will also be offered on the production model. The name Ntorq 125 will remind some of the ‘EnTorq’ maxi scooter design concept showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo by TVS. However, similarities, if any would be limited to the name only since the upcoming product, is a traditional scooter by design.
