TVS NTORQ SXR produces over 20 HP of power; to race at the Indian National Rally Championship.

TVS Motor Company has unveiled the NTORQ SXR scooter which will be performing at the Indian National Rally Championship in Nashik. Based on the NTORQ 125 performance scooter, the NTORQ SXR will make its entry into the race arena for the fourth round of Indian National Rally Championship 2018 to be held in Nashik on 25th and 26th May.

Three time National Championship winner Asif Ali and Shamim Khan will be riding the new NTORQ SXR in the rally. The NTORQ SXR gets a number of decals across the body and steel wheels instead of alloys. TVS NTORQ SXR will be a successor to the SXR 160 and the homegrown automaker is looking to build on the success of the SXR 160.

The NTORQ SXR is powered by a 4-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 20+ HP of power and claims of reaching a top speed of 120 km/hr. The stock NTORQ 125, in comparison, produces 9.3 HP of power and is capable of reaching a top speed of 95 km/hr. Riding on knobby tyres, the NTORQ SXR gets race-tuned hydraulic suspension, race-tuned intake and exhaust system and an optimised ignition system as well.
