Ultraviolette F77 Gets Gen 3 Firmware Update, Introduces A New Ballistic+ Performance Mode

Ultraviolette has released a new Gen 3 Powertrain Firmware update for its F77 electric motorcycle. The update introduces a sharper performance mode called Ballistic+. This update will be available to all existing F77 owners at no extra cost.

After studying rider behaviour in European markets, the company developed this update. The European roads demand higher average speeds and longer thermal endurance. Ultraviolette improved motor and controller thermal limits for better performance to meet these demands.

Ballistic+ Performance Mode

Ballistic+ enhances initial torque and throttle response while keeping the same peak output. The TFT screen still displays the mode as Ballistic. This refined mode delivers a noticeably sharper and more engaging riding experience.

Battery Performance

The F77 maintains the same battery capacities of 7.1 kWh and 10.3 kWh for its Mach 2 and Recon models. Despite the performance improvements, the claimed range figures remain unchanged. Notably, the firmware update does not bring any additional power and torque.

The bike’s Vehicle Control Unit processes over 3,000 data points in real time. These insights fine-tune the drivetrain, motor, and battery systems. Using this data, Ultraviolette has unlocked more performance without hardware changes.

Outlook

All F77 variants on the road are compatible with this update. It brings significant enhancements through software upgrades alone. The upgrade will be automatically received by all users free of charge.
