Let’s have a look at the upcoming Mahindra cars by 2024
The Indian UV maker is preparing to launch a wide range of products in the country, let’s check out the upcoming Mahindra cars that will hit the showrooms by 2024.
1. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus
First up is the new Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus. It is expected to be launched in the next few weeks. The prototype test mule of the UV was spotted recently undisguised. It is basically the TUV300 Plus but with the new nomenclature that the regular TUV300 also got recently. This will have a similar styling compared to the regular Bolero Neo. It is a 9-seater vehicle that gets 2 seats at the front, 3 seater bench in the middle and side facing 2-seater jump seats behind the middle row. Likely to get the same 1.5-litre diesel engine.
2. Mahindra Thar 5-Door
Next, the much awaited 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar. This product will boost the practicality of the Thar with more space. The SUV has been spotted testing already and the carmaker is rigorously testing the 5-door version across the country ahead of its launch by 2024. It will get the same design but expect new styling bits to differentiate the two. The name might be changed as well. There will be an option of RWD and 4WD versions. It will come with both petrol and diesel engine options.
3. New Gen Mahindra Bolero
One of the bread and butter products for Mahindra is the Bolero. It is available in multiple iterations and churns out great volumes, specially in the rural areas of the country. The current generation has been running on sale since a long while and it needs an overhaul. Mahindra is currently working on the next gen Bolero and it is going to have some radical changes in terms of design, interior and features on offer. Launch timeline is not confirmed but it is likely to hit the showrooms by the end of this year or early next year.
4. New Gen Mahindra XUV500
After the launch of Mahindra XUV700, the XUV500 was taken off the shelves. However, there is still a huge space left under the XUV700. The Indian carmaker is preparing to launch the next generation of the XUV500. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos segment. Expect some futuristic design philosophy and some attractive features on offer. This is likely to come by 2024. We haven’t even spotted the test mules of the new gen XUV500 yet.
5. Mahindra XUV700 Electric
The flagship Mahindra is currently being tested to get an electric powertrain. Yes, the Mahindra XUV700 will soon get an electric heart in the near future. It will be based on the XUV.e8 concept that was showcased by the carmaker in their UK event. The design is the same as the ICE version but the styling will be unique to the electric version. It will have a range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
