2021 Mahindra XUV500 Unveil
The car will be filled to the brim with features

Mahindra is expected to offer the XUV700 with a total of 11 variants. The much-awaited launch of the 7-seat SUV will take place in September-October period this year.

The reason for the Mahindra XUV700 variants to amount to 11 is that the SUV will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmissions and in all-wheel drive guise as well.

Code-named W601, the SUV’s launch has been deferred twice thus far. It will be a premium product from the automaker and will come with fresh design both on the outside and inside.

Features such as twin-digital displays, electronic parking brake, a rotary controller for the media, will be offered along with premium seat upholstery and trim bits.

But, what will set the car apart from its rivals is the fact that it can be had with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control, to name a few.

As mentioned above, the XUV700 will be offered with both petrol (2.0-litre turbocharged unit) and a new diesel engine (expected to displace 2000cc). Both can be had with manual and automatic gearboxes.

Mahindra will manufacture the car, which will rival cars like the new generation Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus, at its Chakan facility.
