While we’ve seen the RE Meteor being tested a lot, the so-called RE Hunter was spied with it this time. Both motorcycles come under RE’s J category (under 500cc) and the Meteor will be the first one to go on sale.
The RE Meteor will get a 350cc engine spec and will get a host of modern features like LED DRLs, alloy wheels, split seats (with or without backrest), dual-pod semi-digital speedometer and even Bluetooth connectivity. Moving on, the other bike in the photos seems to be the RE Hunter. While we’re not sure about the name, RE did patent the names Sherpa, Hunter, and Meteor in 2019 for their upcoming motorcycles.
Like the RE Meteor, the Hunter also comes under the J segment. However, some sources suggest that the Hunter might actually be RE’s first 250cc offering. If so, it will probably target the 250cc naked segment of motorcycles.
But the design of the RE Hunter surprises us the most. It looks nothing like your ideal RE motorcycle. Although the camouflage hides a lot of things, we can clearly see the wide handlebars, flat single-seat, short exhaust, twin disc brake setup (front and back), and the LED tail light.
The only thing which shouts RE in the design is the halogen round headlamp upfront. The pictures also reveal a single pod instrument cluster which might receive Bluetooth connectivity just like the Meteor too. Overall, the bike surely looks like the Triumph Street Twin and the Benelli Imperiale from the side-view.
Finally, the RE Hunter might serve as a direct and only competitor to the Jawa 42 in the market. RE seems to have made this bike for the younger generation as it looks much sportier overall.
