Volvo EX90
Offers 600 km of claimed range on single charge

Volvo EX90 comes with Lidar tech for Level 3 autonomous capability

Volvo EX90 is the new flagship SUV of the Swedish brand. The all-electric SUV is very similar to the Polestar 3 in terms of tech and interior styling. However, the EX90 is a proper 3-row 7-seater SUV.

In terms of looks, the new flagship gets typical Volvo design elements but follows a fresher design direction. The front profile gets sleek LED headlights, clean nose but a protruding panel on the roof for the Lidar scanner.

The side profile looks clean and simple as well and might remind you of the XC90. The rear gets signature Volvo lights design but notice the gap between the pillar lights and the conventional lights. Looks sleek though.

The interior has a minimalistic approach but looks very premium with the layered design. There are almost no physical buttons on the centre console and instead a huge 14.5-inch portrait touchscreen. There is a sleek digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel.

The Lidar scanner is equipped as standard. It detects pedestrians up to 250 m away and offers Level 3 autonomous capability. It also has an interior radar system to prevent children and dogs being left in hot cars.

The electric SUV gets a dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain that offers a claimed range of 600 km and bi-directional charging. It comes with 107 kWh battery. It can use 250 kW DC charging that does 10-80 percent in 30 minutes.

The standard version offers 414 PS and 770 Nm while the Performance variant offers 517 PS and 910 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 4.9 seconds.
