Yamaha XSR 155 Spotted Testing, To Launch On November 11, 2025
The Yamaha XSR 155 has been spotted testing in India for the first time. The modern-retro bike will launch on November 11, 2025. Yamaha might also introduce the Nmax 155 maxi-scooter alongside it.
Launch Date
Yamaha sent a ‘Block Your Date’ invite for November 11, 2025. The sighting of the prototype confirms the launch timeline. Onlookers saw the camouflaged motorcycle undergoing highway testing.
Design Changes
Interestingly, the test mule was fitted with alloy wheels borrowed from the Yamaha FZ-S and FZ-X. This differs from international-spec models. The styling includes a round LED headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, and bench-style seat.
For taller riders, the Yamaha MT-15 feels compact. The XSR 155 will provide a roomier stance with neo-retro styling. It balances modern features with classic design cues.
Engine
The motorcycle uses a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine from the R15 and MT-15. It produces 18.1 HP and 14 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.
Pricing
The Yamaha XSR 155 will slot between the MT-15 and R15. Expected pricing is around Rs. 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It will offer buyers style, comfort, and performance in one package.
Market Competition
The XSR 155 will target buyers in the premium 160cc motorcycle space. Yamaha aims to rival the newly launched KTM 160 Duke. The model complements the MT-15 by offering a retro-inspired option.
