Chevrolet Beat Picture

We all know how ambitious GM is. They recently said they intent to launch a small car next year which would compete with the i10. Well the car is the Chevrolet Beat. They decided on the beat to be the next small car to go into production by having a world wide vote on vote4chevrolet.com The Beat concept looks very good, however when cars go from concept to production, they change alot, case in point is the A-Star. It was a most dramatic day in the Ardennes once again as rain ahead of the 44-lap Belgian Grand Prix and then in the final laps, turned the race on its head and effectively ended Kimi Raikkonen’s championship hopes. Nissan has been testing the new X-Trail in Maharashtra. The X-Trail really doesn’t sell much due to its high price and very little desirability. VW is planning to launch the Passat CC in India. The CC in the Passat CC stands for comfort coupe and though this exactly isint a coupe. Its a 4 door saloon which has the looks and appeal of a coupe and can seat only 4. It does look beautiful and fifth gear recently compared it to the Mercedes-Benz CLS and were impressed with the CC. Maruti Suzuki plans to launch the A-Star in the Indian market in October and will start exporting the A-Star from December or January. The car is being tested extensively by Maruti in India and does not look all that impressive. It will be priced between 3-4 lacs which seems quite value and will use the next generation K series engine. (more…)
