Nissan is recalling 3,45,306 vehicles in Japan and the rest of Asia due to faulty brakes and fuel gauges. Nearly 92% of the recalled vehicles were sold in Japan. Possible reasons for the problem could be corrosion which in turn caused malfunctioning of the parking brakes. The recalled vehicles include the Elgrand minivan, Serena minivan and the Cefiro sedan. The Cefiro is sold globally as the Maxima.
